4.2 Million Homecomers Have Returned to Jakarta

Jakarta Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) Dept. has noted 4,275,743 homecomers have returned to City up to this day.

There are more than 4.2 million people that have been returned to City until yesterday

Meanwhile, the number of people who conducted homecoming on Eid holiday reached 6,414,304.

"There are more than 4.2 million people that have returned to City until yesterday. Still, it has not reached the total number of departed homecomers," said Edison Sianturi, Head of Jakarta Dukcapil Dept. at City Hall, Monday (7/3).

He explained that at least there are still around 2 million homecomers who are not yet returned to Jakarta. It is estimated that condition occurs due to school holidays that still last until one week ahead.

According to him, number of arrived homecomers can not be used as reference for newcomers quantity after Eid holiday.

"So this is not the number of newcomers. But, the incoming and outgoing data during homecoming flow and back flow," he closed.
